Let the Bucket List Adventures Begin!

I have been breaking in my hiking boots since last summer. Gorgeous weather on the Blue Mountains were perfect for hiking.
Today was my last day of bona fide paid work for the next six months!  *deep breath*.  I am excited and ready. Bags not quite packed - but nearly.  In the next week I will deal with all the last minute details.  One of which  is to catch up on my blogs.  It has been a while.  But that is ok.  The time is right.

OK, you all can scootch on over to my travel blog when you get a minute; I have finally got my act together enough to get it set up and going.  I will try and post a few blogs before I head out to Cuba next Wednesday to catch you up on what I have been spending every available hour planning, scheming and dreaming about.

I have called my travel blog "Bucket List Adventures" and the URL is http://peggysbucketlistadventures.blogspot.com/.  I hope you will join me there from time to time and keep in touch while I am out of the country.

According to her You Tube bio, Chantal Kreviazuk is a young classically trained pianist from Winnipeg who gained a record contract from Sony -- as a vocalist -- without ever having performed live. As a Canadian singer songwriter, born in Manitoba, she has produced 3 albums since signing the deal and has been on the receiving end of lots of air time on CBC Radio ever since.    I really like her rendition of Leaving on a Jet Plane, the all time top Travelling song, as compiled by CNN.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

I'm ...

There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say ...

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

And I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

But I'm leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
